During and after these shorelines have been mapped, strategic locations on the landscape will be selected to test for archaeological materials. Our working hypothesis is that late Pleistocene/early Holocene aged sites will be located on these relic shorelines and that a large (possibly Pleistocene in age) fresh water lake would have been an attractive location for early humans to live in central </span></span><st1:state><st1:place><span class="apple-style-span"><span style="color: #333333; font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10.5pt;">Alaska.</span></span></st1:place></st1:state><br />
